“It’s 106 miles to Chicago. We’ve got a full tank of gas and half a pack of cigarettes. It’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it”.

Today I made it up to “Balanced Rock” on the east bluff and continued on to the west bluff all the way around the lake. It was supposed to be sunny but the clouds never broke. That’s all fine by me since it keeps the fair-weather hikers at bay as well as the deer ticks.
