For Sale: 1986 Yairi DY75 (SOLD)
In an effort to pay for my new Santa Cruz I am offering my old Yairi up for sale. If you are unfamiliar with these instruments they are handmade Japanese guitars distributed in the US under the Alvarez-Yairi label not to be mistaken with the standard Alvarez line.
This particular dreadnought has a solid sitka spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and a rosewood/ebony fingerboard. It’s been played regularly for twenty years and as such shows typical wear. There was a pickup installed before I got it and it works fine. I assume it’s a Fishman or a thinline of some sort.
Price: $600 with a hardshell case.

You’ve heard this guitar a million times Eddie. Are you looking for samples of the Santa Cruz?
Either way if anybody is interested in hearing the Yairi check out the “Guitar Samples” post or if you want to see and hear it check out the “Djangology” post.
